Resveratrol
Resveratrol might be a key ingredient in red wine that helps prevent damage to blood vessels, reduces "bad" cholesterol and prevents blood clots. The studies supporting red wine suggest antioxidants in red wine called polyphenols help protect the lining of blood vessels in your heart. These antioxidants come in two main forms: flavonoids and nonflavonoids.

Rutin
Rutin is a natural bioflavonoid (saphora japonica) which acts synergistically with Vitamin C to help maintain a healthy immune system. Bioflavonoids such as quecertin, rutin and hesperidin are vital in their ability to increase the strength of the capillaries and to regulate their permeability. They assist vitamin C in keeping collagen, the intercellular cement. In healthy condition, are essential for the proper absorption and use of vitamin C, prevents vitamin C from being destroyed in the body by oxidation, beneficial in hypertension, helps hemorrhages and ruptures in the capillaries and connective tissues and builds a protective barrier against infections.
